Diane Hibbs, MSW, LCSW

My name is Diane Hibbs.  I am a Senior Clinician at Artemis Counseling.   I earned my Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies from Webster University and my Masters in Social Work from Washington University, Saint Louis, MO.  I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years.

My early counseling experience was founded in working with residential teens at an eating disorder treatment center.  From there I began agency work with the divorce population where my interest expanded to working with children from Pre-School age through young adults experiencing the challenges of their high conflict parental divorce.  My certification in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helped me develop a preschool program for children going through the transition of divorce, and co-parenting classes for parents.  During my time with this agency and in addition to conducting children’s groups, I also worked as a group counselor in city and County schools while training interns working toward their licensure.

My goal in the therapeutic relationship is to provide a compassionate and caring environment to help clients heal and discover their answers and insights.  My modalities in working with children include play/art/sand and narrative therapy.

I am a long-standing member of AFCC and NASW.
