Erika Ottolini, MEd, LPC

Welcome! My name is Erika Ottolini, and I am the Founder and Lead Therapist at Artemis Counseling. After several years working in nonprofit and other clinical settings, I founded Artemis Counseling in 2014 in line with the values of Artemis the archetype from Greek mythology - the protector of children and of the family dynamic.

At Artemis Counseling, we view our role in our work with teens, adults, co-parents and families as that of advocates, confidantes and champions. Individuals and families often come to us during a time of transition, such as life stressors, family conflict, parental separation or divorce, at a time when they are likely experiencing feelings of hopelessness, fear, frustration and loss. Our down-to-earth, accepting, nonjudgmental and empowering approach allows us to meet our clients where they are and help them create and navigate a path forward. Ultimately, our goal is for our clients to achieve their own goals, and our greatest joy is watching them soar and lead lives where they feel empowered, heard, connected and filled with hope.

Utilizing my extensive training in cognitive therapies, psychodynamic psychotherapy and co-parenting work, I work with individual teens and adults, families and co-parents who are experiencing the following:

  • Adjustment disorder

  • Anxiety

  • Behavioral issues

  • Depression

  • Difficulty with transitions

  • Family conflict

  • Family reunification

  • Grief

  • Relationship issues

  • Low self-esteem

  • Spiritual conflict

Holly Hamilton, MSW, LCSW

My name is Holly Hamilton and I am a Senior Clinician at Artemis Counseling. I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and a Masters in Social Work from Saint Louis University.

While in college, I worked as an after-school leader, which is where I found my passion to work with kids and their families. After moving back to Missouri in 2015, I held a position presenting over 1400 child abuse prevention lessons to children throughout St. Louis City and County schools. I then worked with an agency to implement applied behavior analysis services to those with on the autism spectrum. During graduate school internships, I worked with two different city schools as a school social worker. While there, I cultivated welcoming and trusting relationships with students to connect them and their families with appropriate resources to meet basic needs. I also oversaw a variety of social skill therapy groups for students ranging from Kindergarten- 6th grade and implemented curriculum specific to the needs of the different groups.  Prior to coming to Artemis, I worked as a school-based therapist where I provided one-on-one therapy services to early childhood and elementary-aged students including social-emotional regulation and crisis intervention.

I have training in various modalities including play therapy approaches, art therapy techniques, and attachment theory. I work with early childhood aged kids, school-aged children and families who experience the following:

  • Adjustment disorder

  • Trauma

  • Anxiety

  • ADHD

  • Depression

About

Rachael Prewett, LPC, LCSW, RPT

Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” – Mr. Rogers

Play is a child’s natural form of communication. It is how they explore the world around them and learn to understand their feelings. As a Registered Play Therapist, I have seventeen years experience in working with children, teens, and families to help them process their thoughts and feelings, improve self-control, improve relationships, improve self-esteem, and develop healthy problem-solving skills. I have extensive knowledge in working with youth and families that have experienced traumatic experiences and those dealing with significant behavioral concerns.

I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient treatment, school-based services, and residential treatment. Therapy is a collaborative process and I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment. I look forward to working with you, your child, or your family on this journey of healing.

I work with early childhood-elementary school-aged children and families who experience the following:

  • Adjustment disorder

  • Trauma

  • Anxiety

  • ADHD

  • Depression

  • Grief

  • Low self-esteem

  • Relationship issues
